  It sounded fabulous if you were there! LOL! Love & a million thanks to our dear friend, Gloria, for recording this on her walkman while in the audience that evening. It was at the Sheraton in "Al-Biny Georgia", according to Gloria. She & her sister Caroline paid us a visit that evening.. I was told by a local, the first time we played Albany, GA, that "Al-biny isn't the end of the world, but you can see it from the city limits.." This is a room recording from a cassette walkman, not off the board, but it's all we've got, and I'm so thankful, it's the only recording we have of this song:: The Sheraton, Albany, GA Trivia: 1) We were warned that members of an irate motorcycle gang (seems one of their girlfriends liked one or two of us a bit too much) were going to ride down on the band house (the Sheraton housed all the bands in a locally rented house) and kill us all!..we decided to pack up and leave that evening! ; 2) The staff of the Sheraton let a man enter the club with a revolver, which he prominently placed upon the bar, while threatening to shoot our keyboardist Mickey..the staff swiftly escorted Mickey out of the club thru the kitchen, leaving the man, and his gun, sitting at the bar! During our sound check earlier in the day, this man (a "regular") came in and sat at the bar in front of one of our speaker stacks and complained about the volume. Jere, our drummer, announced (over the mic, in no uncertain terms) that the man could move or we would crank up the volume and blow his ass out the front door! Hearing this, the dude looked up, the 1st person he saw was Mickey, immediately assuming Mickey had made this comment! Wrong assumption (but lucky for Jere!) & totally ridiculous of course.. (middle of the afternoon in an empty club & he chose to sit in front of our main speakers during an afternoon soundcheck!) So.. this "dude" shows up that evening with a revolver, shows it to the "bouncers" at the door, promptly places it on the bar and points to Mickey with "POW-POW" hand gestures! Instead of removing this idiot & his gun from the bar, management chooses to remove Mickey from the club! You wouldn't even believe what happened after that! Mike Watkins got the flu! (inside joke) Dare I go on!! ALBANY, GA..It may not be the end of the world, but you can definitely see it from the city limits! We performed there quite often, always with incident it seemed, but they did love us there! Especially our BEATLES set, & especially on Ladie's Night...imagine that! You can't make this shit up... ... more
